Goodman will perform works for flute and electronics by living American composers.

Ayham Hammour, piano

A native of Damascus, Ayham Hammour graduated with his Master’s degree with honorable mention from the Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland, and a Ph.D. from the Music Academy in Lodz, Poland.
He is a top prize winner in several piano competitions including The International Piano Competition in Trzciana, Poland, the Golden Classical Music Award in New York, the Swiss International Competition, and The International Master Competition in Warsaw, Poland, among others.
Dr. Hammour is an active performer who has played recitals and concerts in many prestigious concert halls across Europe and the US. Dr. Hammour serves as piano faculty for several music conservatories in Krakow, including the Bronisław Rutkowski Music School in Krakow and the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce.

Monongahela Saxophone Quartet

Originally formed in 2020 while studying under the direction of Dr. Keith Young at Duquesne University’s Mary Pappert School of Music, the Monongahela Saxophone Quartet is comprised of accomplished multi-instrumentalists and active educators within the Pittsburgh area: Jared Wolf, Nick Nutter, Tess Vanek, and Joseph Seman. Each member brings their own unique musical interests and experience to the group, including backgrounds in jazz, classical, and folk music from around the globe. The ensemble performs classic saxophone quartet repertoire and contemporary works in addition to non-traditional transcriptions and arrangements.
