 2018 MAD Festival Illustration Juror – Syd WeilerSyd Weiler is an illustrator and sometimes-animator. During her 2016-2017 Adobe Creative Residency, she created Trash Doves, a headbanging purple bird that almost overtook the entire internet. As a freelance illustrator, she has created work for TIME Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, CreativeMornings and many others that may not yet be named. She also builds uniques Photoshop tools and ‘magic’ brushes, which she shares with patrons. She has been invited to educate about her software workflow at events around the country. She is a local – native of Follansbee, WV. She recieved a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. She moved back to Wheeling mid-2017 and now lives in Centre Market, where she hoards houseplants. |
 2018 MAD Festival Motion Juror – Pasquale GrecoPasquale Greco has been working in feature films since 2007. His credits for Visual Effects include Men in Black 3, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Ant-Man and Furious 7. Pasquale’s directing career has seen him to the Cannes Film Festival twice, for the short film Lake Stacey in 2008 and as part of the feature film Other Than in 2012. His mixed animation short documentary The Other Dave received a Grand Jury Nomination at the South by Southwest Film Festival in 2013. |
 2018 MAD Festival Audio Juror – Jamie PeckJamie is a multi-talented, emmy winning composer, producer, performer, engineer and adjunct professor at West Liberty University. Having been a musician for over 47 years, Jamie has written music in many diverse styles while crafting a sound that is distinctly his own. His clients range from CBS, ABC and NBC networks to cable channels Bravo, HBO, Nickelodeon Spike TV and Showtime. As well as producing a diverse group of artists and song writers. In addition to his recent Emmy Award he has received several Silver Microphone, Vision and Telly Awards for his work in advertising. He recently completed scores for both Pittsburgh from the Air I and II and Pittsburgh From The Water for WQED Multimedia in Pittsburgh, PA |
 2018 MAD Festival – Keynote Speaker and Imaging JurorAndy J. Miller (AKA Andy J. Pizza) is an American illustrator and public speaker. He is the founder of the Creative Pep Talk podcast, which does what it says on the tin, gives pep talks to creative people! Creative Pep Talk, has been featured by Apple, BuzzFeed and Threadless.Creative Pep Talk the book was published by Chronicle Books in the Spring of 2017. Andy’s explosive color drenched illustrations have brought hope and smiles to clients like Nickelodeon, Google, The Boston Globe, Converse and Oreo. While studying in the UK, Miller received a BA in Graphic Design at the University of Huddersfield. Miller uses exclamation points liberally(!!!!) has been known to TYPE IN ALL CAPS for no reason at all and sometimes uses emojis in business emails.
