The BS Degree in Dental Hygiene requires 120 credit hours. Fifty-seven credits are general education, science prerequisites and electives hours. The remaining sixty-three hours are clinical dental hygiene courses generally completed during the junior and senior years. Bachelor of Dental Hygiene Prerequisites
The following Bachelor of dental hygiene courses must be completed before being admitted to the First Year Fall Semester of the clinical program. Students typically complete these courses during their freshmen and sophomore years and they also fulfill general studies requirements. These courses must be completed with a grade of C or higher and a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
