Campus & Community Diversity Committee
The West Liberty University Campus & Community Diversity Committee seeks to engage both our students and the community in activities that promote understanding in all areas of diversity.
West Liberty University is committed to creating and maintaining a living and learning environment that embraces individual difference and cultural inclusion by bringing together diverse ideas, perspectives, skills, and talents. West Liberty University strives to create an inclusive, respectful, intellectually challenging climate that embraces individual difference in race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, spirituality, socio-economic status, disability, veteran status, experiences, opinions, and ideas.
As the oldest public college in the state of West Virginia — a state that was born during the Civil War — we are united in support of unity and justice for all. Racism has no place on our campus or in our country at any time, and WLU remains committed to supporting justice and racial equality, as it provides a quality education to all. We support the efforts of our Campus & Community Diversity Committee, which represents students, faculty and staff, throughout the year.
West Liberty University is committed to serving a diverse student population while cultivating an environment that values open dialogue, cooperation, shared responsibility, mutual respect, and cultural competence both on campus and through engaging community outreach activities. Together we are stronger!
