WL Admissions Requirements
Students applying for the Dental Hygiene Program must first meet the general admissions policies established by West Liberty. For more information, contact the Admissions Office at 304-336-8076 or 866-WEST LIB.

Program Admissions Requirements
Students may apply for the two-year professional program terminating with an Associate in Science Degree in Dental Hygiene, or a four-year program ending with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Applications for admission to both the two-year and four-year programs must be completed and submitted to the Dental Hygiene Program before January 15 of the year the student wishes to enroll.

High School Applicants: Two- and four-year Program

1. Transcript of high school grades to date.
2. Rank in upper 50% of graduating class.
3. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80.
4. Completion of one unit of Biology and Lab and one unit of Chemistry and Lab with a grade of “C” or better in each course.
5. Completion of one unit of high school Algebra with grade of “C” or better.
6. Minimum ACT score of 18 or equivalent SAT score.
7. Completed application form for the Dental Hygiene Department.

College/Transfer Applicants: Two- and four-year Program

1. If not attending West Liberty, all transcripts must be mailed to the WLU Admissions Office.
2. Completion of one unit of high school or college chemistry, and college biology (4 credits).
3. Completion of one unit of high school Algebra with grade of “C” or better.
4. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80.
5. Minimum grade of “C” in each science course attempted.
6. Completed application form for the Department of Dental Hygiene.

** APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSIONS TO BOTH THE TWO-YEAR AND FOUR-YEAR PROGRAMS MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE JANUARY 15 OF THE YEAR YOU ARE APPLYING.
