Adult Learners may pursue any degree at West Liberty University they choose, as long as they are able to take all the classes required. However, WLU recognizes that adults have busy schedules and complicated lives and pursuing a traditional degree program is not always possible. WLU also has degree programs in the School of Professional Studies specifically designed to serve the adult student who:

• needs a flexible schedule,
• wants evening or Saturday classes,
• needs to use their previous college coursework even if it is several years old, or
• can benefit from credit for prior learning experience.

School of Professional Studies:

Regents Bachelor of Arts (RBA Today) – If you need the most flexibility – maybe take one class this semester and two next semester, etc., this program may be for you. Have several academic interests and can’t settle on just one topic to study? This may be for you.

Master of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership (MPS-OL) This option and is ideal for those who already have Bachelor Degree. The MPS-OL degree is 30 credit hours and can be completed within 14 months: 12 hours of MPS Core Courses, 12 hours OL Area of Emphasis courses, and 6 hours OL Area of Emphasis Elective courses. All of the Core courses and most of the Area of Emphasis courses will be accelerated Saturday classes at the Highlands Center. Other courses will be offered online, also in an accelerated format. Incoming students may transfer in up to 6 graduate credit hours if those course hours are from accredited institutions and are relevant to the specific area of emphasis, and need a program that meets on Saturdays or weekday evenings. The students in this program move through the classes together, taking one at a time but allow participants to still receive part-time financial aid, if they qualify. (Three semester hour courses meet six weeks.)
