Warren E. “Skip” Wilson, 68, formerly of Wheeling, WV, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016, at his home in Aurora, CO, following a lengthy illness.
Skip was born October 8, 1947, in Washington, PA, the son of Paul and Mary Jo (Morris) Wilson and lived most of his early life in Wheeling, moving to CO in 1983. Skip was a graduate of Wheeling High School, 1965, and West Liberty State College, 1973.
During the 1960s, Skip sang and played guitar in various folk music groups in Wheeling, including the Liberty Singers.
Throughout his life, Skip was an avid fan of auto racing and was a long standing member of Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing in Aurora, where he served as a starter for many years.
Skip is survived by his wife, Pauline Wilson; daughter, Michelle (Gary) Griffith (Wheeling); two step-daughters, Christine (Darren) Michaud-Drill and Jeanette (Adam) Strode; two step-grandchildren, Jerri Anne (Charles) Blumenstock (Wheeling); and many loving friends.
