ZALE, Rudolph “Rudy”, 90, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on January 9, 2017 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling, WV.
He was born on May 26, 1926 in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Mike and Martha Visnich Zatezalo.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his loving wife Kathleen Zale.
Rudy was a graduate of West Liberty State College and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He was retired from pharmaceutical sales. Prior to his pharmaceutical career though Mr. Zale was employed as a funeral director and embalmer in the Wheeling area. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Wheeling, WV.
He was a former member of Oglebay Park Golf Club, and a former member of the Moundsville Country Club. Mr. Zale won local tournaments throughout the 1950’s and 1960’s then in 1987 he won the West Virginia Seniors Golf Championship. He also won many local golf tournaments throughout his golf career.
Friends received on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling (304-242-2311), with Father Bill Matheny officiating. Entombment in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Wheeling, WV.
