Priscilla J. Wear, of Lakeland, FL and formerly from Wheeling, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Lakeland Regional Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 26, 1941, in Wheeling, daughter of the late Cecil and Mildred Parsons Winters.
Priscilla graduated from West Liberty High School in 1959 and West Liberty State College in 2004. In Wheeling she worked many years at the Wheeling Housing Authority and West Liberty State College. She was always a talented musician and more recently an avid writer of poetry receiving awards from the International Society of Poets. Priscilla was also member of the Family Worship Center in Lakeland, Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Milton R. Wear in 2006, son, Mark E. Wear in 2011 and brother, Norman Winters in 2014.
She is survived by two children and their spouses as well as a daughter-in-law: Michelle E. Overall of Lawrenceburg, KY and Matthew E. Wear of Mechanicsville, VA, and Jean Wear of Durham, NC. Priscilla was blessed with eight grand children and four great- grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters and their spouses: Sara Jane Rinehart of West Liberty, WV and Karen Padgelek of Tiltonsville, OH.
