Patricia “Lee” Cotton Dalek – 1986

Patricia L. “Lee” Cotton Dalek, 73, formerly of Glen Dale, WV, died Sunday, June 7, 2015, at the home she and her husband recently shared with their daughter and son- in-law in Baytown, TX.

Lee was born on February, 27, 1942, a daughter of the late Gerald F. and Sarah Marie Barger Cotton.

She graduated from the OVMC School of Nursing in 1963 and earned her BSN from West Liberty State University (then college) in 1986. Her nursing career spanned more than 30 years and many settings from hospital to nursing home to home health.

Lee was kind and generous and always shared herself and everything that she had with others, without hesitation. She loved books, birds, flowers and her friends. She loved her family most of all. She will be deeply and sadly missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Glen Dale, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Lauren Cotton Laming, and Sarah “Lynne” Cotton Bonar.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Richard Dalek; two daughters Tamara (Brian) Meigh of Baytown, TX and Tonya (Donald) Masters of Cambridge, OH; one son, Timothy Dalek and his fiance, Helen Delardas of Wheeling, WV; one brother, Daryl (Terri) Cotton of Wheeling, five grandchildren, Danielle Ward and Lindsey Masters of Cambridge, OH, Hayden and Tyler Dalek of Morgantown, WV, and Logan Dalek of Moundsville, one sister-in-law Eileen (Bill) Mesmer of Wilson, NY; one brother-in-law, John (Kathy) Dalek; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements by Crespo and Jirrels Funeral and Cremation Services, Baytown, TX and Grisell Funeral Homes & Crematory, Moundsville.

Family will receive friends Sunday from 12-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, Glen Dale with Interment immediately following in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
