John F. Grisell, age 66 of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Moundsville, WV died January 13, 2017.  He was born November 17, 1950, the son of the late Curtis and Margaret Myers Grisell. He graduated from Moundsville High School; attended Fairmont State College and West Liberty State College. While living in Moundsville, he was an active member of the community, having served on the City Council and as Mayor; he worked for several years in the Marshall County Assessor’s Office; and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Survivors include his wife, Susan Grisell; step-sons, James Meece and Aaron Pavlin; a sister, Jane Grisell Murphy; a nephew, Tim Murphy; and numerous cousins.  Family will receive friends on Friday from 5-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue. Moundsville where Memorial Services will be held Saturday at 10:30am with Rev. Bruce Bevans officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
