Dr. Robert D. “Bob” Doe, born July 6, 1929 in Lexington, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at Legacy Village Assisted Living in Jacksonville, Ala. on January 15, 2017 surrounded by family.

Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Following his discharge from the Air Force in 1952, Bob attended Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He began his career as a high school biology teacher in Columbus in 1957. Bob received his Ph.D in Physical Education and Biology from Ohio State University in 1970 and accepted a position at West Liberty State College where he retired in 1995.

Bob and his wife Barbara were married 59 years, prior to her death in 2011.

He is survived by his daughter Debra Doe of Hilliard, Ohio; son, Steven Doe (Laura) of Jacksonville, Ala.; grandchildren Bryan Doe (Stephanie) of Madison, Ala.; Eric Doe of West Point, Ga.; Michelle Doe of Denver, Colo.; great grandchildren, Kaylee Blackwell, Matthew and Natalie Doe.
