PITTSBURGH, July 1, 2016 — The Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh (FHLBank) is pleased to announce that Kristina K. Williams has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s (PA Bankers) Women in Banking Advisory Committee. She will serve a one-year term.
Williams is a WLU alumna and serves as vice chair of the West Liberty University Foundation. She also served as commencement speaker in May 2015 and received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree._X2A3625Williams
The Women in Banking Advisory Committee is charged with developing and coordinating offerings to provide expanded, focused resources to the women of Pennsylvania’s banking industry in the areas of professional development, networking, recognition, mentoring and volunteerism. Members of the Committee also help plan the Association’s annual Women in Banking Conference each March.
“As a long-time advocate for women in the workplace, and the financial services industry in particular, I am delighted with this appointment,” said Williams. “I look forward to working with PA Bankers and colleagues throughout the commonwealth as we seek opportunities for women in our industry.”
Williams is Chief Operating Officer at FHLBank, with responsibility for all member-facing activities, including member services, community investment, product delivery, marketing and communications, and information technology.
She joined FHLBank in 2004 as Chief Accounting Officer and became Chief Financial Officer in 2006, Executive Vice President in 2010 and Chief Operating Officer in 2011. Previously, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Wholesale Banking for PNC Financial Services Group and has experience in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte & Touche.
Williams graduated from West Liberty University and received her master’s in Professional Accountancy from West Virginia University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Board of Directors for the West Liberty University Foundation and a 2016 Advocate for Ambition with Strong Women, Strong Girls, Inc.
