Dorothy Lee Kitson Schellhase, 80 of Wheeling, WV, died January 17, 2016, at Liza’s Place, Wheeling, WV.
She was born July 26, 1935, in Wheeling, WV. She was the daughter of the late Lee H. and Dorothy H. Smith Kitson. She was a retired dental hygienist from Dr. Edward Mueller, DDS; graduate of Wheeling High School (1953) and West Liberty State College (1955); Member of St. Michael Catholic Church; and she was a member of Wheeling Jayceets, the Knights of Columbus #504 Woman’s Auxiliary, and the Auxiliary of Wheeling Hospital; a volunteer coach, librarian, homeroom mom, chaperone, and Girl Scout leader; and avid bowler. Dorothy had a deep love and devotion for her family. She enjoyed playing games, bridge, dominos, and chess with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Ann Schellhase.
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, James H Schellhase; three daughters: Susan Morris of Wheeling, WV, Stacy (Bob, Jr) Olyha of Poughkeepsie, NY, Janice (Brad) Selz of Monticello, GA; a brother, Herb (Kathy) Kitson, of Titusville, PA; six grandchildren: Chris (Baylea) Morris of Clarksville, TN; Amanda Olyha of Nashua, NH, Jackie Morris of Pittsburgh, PA, Samantha Olyha of Poughkeepsie, NY, Emily Morris of Wheeling, WV, Jim Olyha of Poughkeepsie, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
