Allyson Marie Katona and Corey Lee Palmer were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at The Barn in Moundsville, with the groom’s grandfather, Blair McCauley, officiating.
The couple was married on the same date as the bride’s parents (1980) and maternal grandparents (1941).
The bride is the daughter of Jon and Sylvia Katona of Wheeling.
The groom is the son of Corey and Shelly Palmer of Homer City, Pa.
Jessica Naegele, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Corey Palmer, father of the groom, was best man.
Other attendants were Amber Sallee, Jocelyn Welshhans, Jessica Girolami, Tyler Bailey, Aaron Naegele and Will Palmer.
A reception was held at The Barn.
The bride is a graduate of West Liberty University with a degree in business administration specializing in accounting.
She is studying to become a certified public accountant.
The groom is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in mechanical engineering and is employed at Custom Tool and Grinding.
After a wedding trip to Fayetteville, W.Va., the couple resides in Wheeling.
