WLU will celebrate International Education Week, (IEW) the week of Nov. 15-19. Events and activities will take place all week that showcase how international education connects people across borders, builds cross-cultural understanding, prepares students with global skills, and ultimately creates the foundation for a more peaceful world.
Below is a schedule of events to take place during the week. Events are open to the public and free refreshments will be served.

Monday – 2:00pm, Iman Hadef : “Religious life in Algeria”; 6:30pm-8:45pm: Movie,”Apres Vous” (French with English Subtitles)
Tuesday – 3:00pm, Marupzhan Semyatov: “Kazakhstan”; 4:00-7:00pm, *International Food Festival, Ballroom, Student Union (Food Tickets: $1.00/serving plate and can be purchased at the door.)
Wednesday – 2:00pm, Houda Stiti: “Tunisia”
Thursday – 2:00pm, Banan Abu Shawareb: “Jordan”; 3:00pm, Karishma Daruwalla: “Festivals in India”
Friday – 1:00pm, Hatem Hassan: “Egypt”; 2:00pm, Abby Rewalt and Kelley Oliver: “Appalachia Meets Himalaya”; 3:00pm, Mohammad Firas Tabiekh: “Lebanon”; 6:30pm-8:45pm Movie “El Secreto de Sus Ojos” (Spanish with English Subtitles)
