- All CSD faculty hold a current West Virginia and/or Pennsylvania license in Speech Pathology or Audiology and are within good standing of the WV and/or PA Board of Examiners.
- All CSD faculty currently hold their Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- All CSD faculty currently work in a wide variety of outside clinical settings where they maintain their clinical experience helping patients and students directly. They are experienced in speech pathology/audiology, communication disorders, hearing impaired education, sign language/professional interpreters of the deaf, and special education for patients of all ages.
- Small classes, excellent student to faculty ratios (usually 15 or fewer students to 1 faculty).
- Option to further graduate work at West Liberty University by applying the Master of Science education program in Speech-Language Pathology
- On-site speech and hearing clinic to provide students with use of state-of-the-art equipment and patient experience.
- Adequate computer access with virtual audiometry, anatomy, and assessment protocols.
- Newer state of the art equipment and anatomy models.
- National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association chapter where the students invest their time in learning more about the profession, continuing education, networking, and community service activities.
