For Sidney Keni, media is more than just creating pictures or videos. It is a way to experience the world, learn about others, and share stories that can bring people together. Sidney is a sophomore at West Liberty University majoring in Digital Media Design and Film. She grew up in Kahuku, a small town located on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, where the ocean and island lifestyle have played an important role in shaping who she is.

When she is not in the classroom, Sidney stays busy as a member of the West Liberty volleyball team. Volleyball has given her an opportunity to challenge herself, work with others, and be part of a close community. She also enjoys spending time at the beach, especially looking for shells, and taking photographs of the people, places, and moments that catch her attention.

Sidney hopes to turn her interests into a career after college. One of her biggest goals is to travel to different parts of the world and work as a photographer. She wants to document the places she visits while learning about the cultures and people who make each location unique.

As she continues developing her skills in media, Sidney hopes to become a storyteller who uses her platform to introduce audiences to perspectives they may not have experienced themselves. She wants her work to encourage people to look beyond what they already know, become more open-minded, and take an interest in the world around them. For Sidney, using her voice in media means creating work that is not only visually meaningful but also has the ability to educate, inspire, and connect people.
