WGLZ Thanks Student Veterans

On Wednesday, November 8th, West Liberty University hosted it’s first annual flag-raising ceremony. This event was held to honor the Veterans that are here on campus. Many students and faculty members attended the event to honor our Veterans. After the event, WGLZ gave each of the Veterans on campus a gift to thank them for their service.

WGLZ at Homecoming Alumni Tent

On Saturday, October 14, WGLZ had the honor of playing music at the Alumni Tent for Homecoming 2017. WGLZ played an eclectic mixture of songs from the 1960s to today as well as sell shirts and broadcast the football game. WGLZ also ran into former deejay Matt Halter, who worked at WGLZ in 1993. WGLZ wishes the best to all former and future West Liberty alumni

WGLZ Open Drum Circle

On Wednesday, May 3, WGLZ hosted an open drum circle from 12:00-1:00 in the Student Union Ballroom. Over the course of the event, WGLZ gave away a zip line pass for Grand Vue Park. Congratulations to winner Shane Powell.

Health Fair

On Thursday, April 13, WGLZ participated in the Health Fair. We played music for the event and gave away a basket of Easter goodies and a Chromacast. Congratulations to our winners.

Sushi Night

On Wednesday, April 12, WGLZ participated in Sushi Night at the Marketplace. We played music and gave away 3 prizes: 4 tickets to the Wheeling Symphony and a $25 gift certificate to Abbey’s, 2 tickets to the Julez Santana concert, and a basket of food. Congratulations to our winners: Alison Sheohard (no pic), Hannah Walters, and Brandon Briggs-Tyska.
