About WGLZ

WGLZ is West Liberty’s student run and FCC licensed radio station. You can listen to WGLZ on the radio at 91.5 FM. We are located in the student union across from WeBurg. WGLZ was built and first operated by Professor Chris Lee. In 2013, Instructor Jeff Pfister was hired to West Liberty University and took over the radio station. Under Pfister’s leadership the station has ingrained itself into the West Liberty community.

Students that volunteer to work for WGLZ will gain valuable experience in communication, interviewing, and creative skills. All WGLZ staff members are encouraged to be creative and have fun as long as they follow all FCC guidelines and station rules.

The station plays a variety of music from all eras as well as student made podcasts and station IDs. If you have a request you can call WGLZ at 304-336-8287
or leave a comment on the contact page of the website.

WGLZ is committed to serving the campus community. In the past we have hosted events such as Bark in the Dark and National College Radio Day. In addition, WGLZ’s passionately vocal series highlights key members of the West Liberty community and helps bring light to the issues affecting campus.

We encourage all students to get involved with WGLZ either by listening or working for us. Together we are college radio and we are passionately vocal.
