Peyton recently talked to one of the newer staff at West Liberty, Madeline Boyd, a new Student Mental Health Counselor that stared in the spring semester of 2025 who specializes in standard mental health counseling and art therapy, which Peyton and her talk about the specifics of what that is in the interview. This is a part of the Academic Affairs line of interviews where WGLZ hosts interview staff and see what goes on with them and what the semester has in store for them. Madeline and Peyton proceed to talk about how the university has been for her as a newer staff member, what it has been like being part of the community, and more specifics about what being a mental health counselor means to her and how it affects not only the students but her as well. They also talk about what students can do to get a hold of the available mental health resources.
