“Students With Stories” Featuring Abbie Davidson

 

In Part 2 of WGLZ’s Passionately Vocal series, host Hope Bowman sits down with teammate Abbie Davidson, a junior from Salem, Ohio, elementary education major, and a sophomore guard on the West Liberty Women’s basketball team.

Abbie begins by sharing her early love for basketball; when she first picked up the sport, the people who inspired her, her experiences with AAU, and what the recruiting process was like coming out of high school. She then reflects on her first college season at Youngstown State University, discussing the jump from high school to Division l basketball and what ultimately led her to consider transferring.

After the break, Abbie talks about her transition to West Liberty University, including why WLU stood out , what it was like joining a new team and coaching staff, and the parts of Hilltopper culture she has loved the most. She also shares her goals for the season, both personally and as a part of the team.
