Deuce Figaretti

Deuce Figaretti is a second-year digital media design student at West Liberty University. Originally from Wheeling, West Virginia, Deuce hopes to use the skills he learns in school to create his own video production business in his hometown, creating advertisements for local businesses, wedding videos, and short films that showcase the heart of Appalachian life.

In his free time, Deuce enjoys playing acoustic and electric guitar across a variety of genres including rock, folk, and country, and performs with The Way Student Ministry’s worship band. His musical versatility reflects his creative adaptability—skills that translate seamlessly into his visual storytelling work and have sharpened his understanding of rhythm and timing in film editing.

Deuce also enjoys riding his motorcycle around the back roads of West Virginia. He rides a Suzuki TU250X and enjoys going on motorcycle camping trips with his dad through Appalachian landscapes. These adventures provide inspiration for his filmmaking and deepen his connection to the region he hopes to serve professionally.

Deuce’s passion for filmmaking has already yielded impressive results. He won first place in the West Liberty 48 Hour Film Festival in 2024 with his submission “Stay Dead,” demonstrating his ability to work under pressure while maintaining creative vision. He intends to participate in 2025 as well and hopes to one day direct a feature film.

Currently, Deuce hopes to expand his media expertise by learning more about radio and how radio hosts build community on the air. He believes mastering his voice in radio will enhance his storytelling abilities and help him connect more authentically with audiences across all media platforms.
