Scott Heath is from Wheeling, West Virginia, where he first explored his interest in broadcasting at Wheeling Park High School. He has continued to build on that experience at West Liberty University, gaining valuable opportunities to practice and grow in the media field.
In his free time, Scott enjoys a wide range of hobbies. He is a gamer who plays on multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and his gaming computer. His favorite game of all time is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for the Nintendo GameCube. Scott is also a big fan of NASCAR and hockey, rooting for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Wheeling Nailers, and attending at least one NASCAR race each year to support his favorite driver, Brad Keselowski. Beyond gaming and sports, he spends some of his free time watching television. Recently, he’s been enjoying SpongeBob SquarePants and the newest season of South Park.
After graduation, Scott hopes to pursue a career as a news anchor at Channel 7 News. His dream job would be to host a game show, with Family Feud being his favorite. This semester, he is focusing on improving his vocal delivery by adding confidence, using more inflection, and developing a conversational tone that will help him connect with his audience on air.
