Pearce Butler was born in Wheeling, West Virginia. Pearce attended St.Clairsville high school and graduated in 2022 and played track and bowling when he was a freshman and sophomore. Out of high school Pearce attended West Liberty University majoring in Digital Media Design and has always had a passion for being behind a camera or a microphone.

Pearce is a current sophomore going to pursue a bachelors degree in Digital Media Design and is currently associated in a fraternity here on campus, where he currently resides.

Some of Pearce’s hobbies that he enjoys in his free time is fishing, movies/shows, video games, racing ATV’s, and traveling. Pearce has raced ATV’s since he was 8 years old and currently races for GNCC woods racing series where he travels nationally in the summer months from May until late August. His favorite movies are Shrek and The Good The Bad and The Ugly, his all time favorite actor is Clint Eastwood. His favorite TV shows are Shameless, The 100, and Game of Thrones. He is a big catfish and bass fisherman, he fishes all over Belmont county and likes to travel to new spots, his favorite spot is Tappan Lake in Ohio. 

Pearce hopes that by getting the experience with WGLZ and skills he develops in the process that in his future he will pursue a radio/broadcasting career. He also hopes to see himself hosting his own podcast in his future.
