WGLZ prepares for “Passionately Vocal, Seriously Local” 48-hour marathon

West Liberty University’s student radio station, WGLZ 91.5 FM will kick off College Radio Day with a special 48-hour marathon.  This is the fourth consecutive year that WGLZ has participated in providing special programming in honor of the national event.

Faculty Advisor, Jeff Pfister says that “this is the biggest year yet for WGLZ’s annual College Radio Day celebration”.  The slogan for the national event this year is “Passionately Vocal, Seriously Local” and we are doing our part to hold-up this theme.

Programming will begin on Wednesday, October 4th at 5:00 p.m. and will continue until Friday, October 6th at 5:00 p.m.  12 WGLZ DJs will host the first 24 hours.  Each DJ will have special interviews and chances to win WGLZ t-shirts.  Sophomore broadcasting student, Walker Polivka returns to host his second College Radio Day 24-hour marathon.  Walker’s show will be packed with special interviews and chances to win FREE prizes.  This year Walker has collected over 50 prize baskets and has collected over $2000.00 which will be donated to charity.

Tune into WGLZ 91.5 FM or online at WGLZradio.com to win!
