Jonathan Burkhart

Jonathan Burkhart grew up and lives in Barnesville, Ohio and is a Class of 2020 graduate from Saint Clairsville High School.

While attending high school, Jonathan worked as a team videographer for both the Mens’ and Womens’ soccer team for four years. He also spent 5 years as a member of the award winning Red Devil Marching Band, where he played in the front ensemble. At the conclusion of his senior year, he was awarded the Jim McKay Memorial Scholarship from the National Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences. This award is given to an individual pursuing a degree in sports broadcasting- something Jim McKay was well known for.

He works as a cinematographer for the East Coast Hockey League’s Wheeling Nailers in Wheeling, West Virginia. Fans might remember seeing him during games over the past few years. He also runs his own business called One JB Digital Media, which focuses on event videography, portrait photography, and graphic design.

When he is not working, Jonathan enjoys going on nature walks and spending time in serene nature areas. After college graduation in 2024, he aspires to get a job as an event videographer or work as a game day producer for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League. As a backup, he would enjoy working as a travelling photographer. He believes college radio is a good foundational experience for students wishing to pursue a career in the radio industry or looking for something new and interesting to try.
