Jamie is a Digital Media Design major at West Liberty University, with minors in Photography & Video Editing and Music Production. They want to use their studies to pursue a career in media arts, ranging anywhere from video game design to film. Their end goal is to be a creative director and help bring entertainment and joy to the world.
Being from Ronceverte, West Virginia, Jamie went to Greenbrier East High School, where they participated in the Spartan Marching band’s drumline for three years. They also participated in their school’s rock band ensemble class, 2nd Block Rock, for a year as a lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, bassist, pianist, and drummer. In the spring semester of 2024, they won first place in West Liberty University’s Topper Idol singing contest. To this day, they practice music in their free time and use it as a relaxing hobby.
Other hobbies of Jamie’s includes video games and spending time with their family and pets. They’ve played video games since they could hold a controller and work a computer mouse and don’t plan to stop any time soon. They have always loved animals, and currently they have a dog and three cats at home. They enjoy exploring new places with their parents, such as caves, historical sites, and other places of significance. Sadly, their pets cannot join them on these adventures.
Although they are still unsure of how their voice will be used used and heard in their future, Jamie hopes to gain the necessary skills needed for their career through the WGLZ radio station.
