Hope Bowman was born and raised in Wellsburg, West Virginia. She attended Brooke High School and is a proud graduate of the class of 2019. She first discovered her passion for basketball at the age of 10 and has been dedicated to the game ever since. She began her college journey at Wheeling University on an athletic scholarship before transferring to West Liberty University to focus more on her academic goals. Entering her junior year, she made the heartfelt decision to return to the court and now proudly represents the Hilltoppers as a member of the women’s basketball team.
Hope is pursuing a degree in Communication and Broadcasting with aspirations of becoming a sports news anchor after graduation. Her dream is to begin her career locally at WTOV9 and eventually work her way up to a major news station such as KDKA in Pittsburgh, PA. Off the court, Hope enjoys reading, watching true crime documentaries, spending time with friends, and listening to podcasts. Her favorite book is Confess by Colleen Hoover, while Dateline and Snapped are among her favorite shows. She also enjoys podcasts like Crime Junkie and Morbid, which fuel her fascination with true crime.
With a passion for storytelling and a drive to use her voice in the media, Hope is working on becoming more confident and expressive. These skills will help her achieve her ultimate goal of becoming a host or anchor.
