On Wednesday, April 12, WGLZ participated in Sushi Night at the Marketplace. We played music and gave away 3 prizes: 4 tickets to the Wheeling Symphony and a $25 gift certificate to Abbey’s, 2 tickets to the Julez Santana concert, and a basket of food. On Monday, April 10, WGLZ participated in the International Food Festival. We played music for the event and interviewed a number of the participants and organizers of the event.
On Saturday, April 8, WGLZ participated in Relay for Life, which was sponsored by Beta Rho Epsilon. We played music at the event and raffled off three baskets, with half of the proceeds going back to Relay for Life. Congratulations to our winners: Denise Taylor, Lori Polivka, and Tammi Secrist.

On Wednesday, April 5, WGLZ participated in National Walking Day. We played music for the event, gave away some shirts, and interviewed Cathy Monteroso, who coordinated the event, as well as Christian Lee, who participated in it.
Walker Polivka, WGLZ general manager, will be hosting 70@70, a tribute for Elton John’s 70th birthday. He will be playing 70 Elton John’s song to celebrate it, starting at 10am, this Saturday, March 25th. Be sure to tune into 91.5 WGLZ, the hilltop hit music station.
