Alexander Ayers

Alexander Ayers is a sophomore at West Liberty University. He is from the city of Carlisle, Pennsylvania and graduated from Carlisle High School, class of 2016. After high school he attended Harrisburg Area Community College where he majored in General Studies. After community college he transferred to West Liberty University to study Broadcasting as a major. Broadcasting is a big interest of Alex’s, since he had done a couple classes in that field back at Carlisle High School. He has always enjoyed production and to work in the studio. What he hopes to do after graduating from West Liberty, is to proceed a career in television broadcasting within the Wheeling-Pittsburgh region.

For hobbies and interests, He enjoys watching sports. Some of Alex’s favorite teams include, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Panthers, and West Virginia Mountaineers. He favors those teams because he grew up watching them over the years. Video games of all varieties are a notable favorite for Alex. Some of his favorites would include Marvel’s Spider-Man, the Grand Theft Auto series, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last of Us. He also enjoys watching movies especially animation, with some of his favorites being The Lion King, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Shrek, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Alex also greatly enjoys spending time with friends that share the same interests as him.

Why Alex is taking a Radio Production class is because he wants the hands-on experience that you can do in the studio and learning how to run a radio station feels like an excellent learning experience. Being able to provide the music onto the air and sharing his voice over the mic strike as being something he wants to do. West Liberty University is what Alex considers to be a fantastic place to take Radio Production.
