In this edition of “Academic Affairs,” Dr. Tim Borchers joined Alex in the studio to talk about his previous occupations, his current one as the president of West Liberty University and his book titled, “Persuasion in the Media Age.”

In the first part of the interview, the two delve into Borchers’ past. He previously served as Vice President for Academic Affairs at Peru State College in Nebraska and as a Dean and Faculty member at Minnesota State University Moorhead. When discussing his current role as West Liberty University’s president, he touched on the improvements he’s made, the challenges he’s faced and how he sees the university in the future.

 

In the second part of the interview, Borchers explains why he was inspired to write his book, which is currently in its fourth edition, and covers some of the content. He tells how the book has evolved over its many editions and also mentions the possibility that there may be more editions forthcoming.
