On this episode of Passionately Vocal – Distinctive Discussions Lanie had the opportunity to meet with a familiar face from the Ohio Valley, a news anchor and multi-media journalist at Channel 7 News, Annalise Murphy!

Annalise dove into her aspirations and early onset desires to be involved in both media and the news. She spoke about how during her undergrad, while studying journalism, she took a broadcasting class that sparked her interest in on-camera work.

After graduating, and after having worked at Channel 7 News as an intern for multiple months, Annalise initially took a position where she worked as a producer and eventually worked up to a multi-media journalist position where she has been able to write, cover, conduct, film, and edit her own stories! As Annalise strengthened her on camera skills, she was soon offered a position to solo anchor as Channel 7.

Annalise Murphy says that the best part about being in her field is the impact that she gets to make right in her own community. She loves being able to connect with and get involved with the people in the Ohio Valley and has high hopes to live her career out at Channel 7 News!
