On December 4th at 3:30 pm wglz announcer Brooke scopel spoke with Ron Taflan on air.
Ron taflan is the sr director of global supply chain applications at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Ron is in charge of all the applications globally for the supply chain. he explained that this means he is in charge of getting the product into the distribution facility and warehouses and sending them out on time. During the interview, Ron explained what exactly Thermo Fisher scientific was. He also explained that Thermo fisher scientific is a large company that sells a large range of scientific products.
During the interview, Ron was asked how he got to the current position of sr director of the global supply chain of applications. He explained that he had started as a programmer and worked his way up to his current position over many years. Another question that was asked was what his favorite part of the job was and his response was the people make it his favorite part of the job.
One of the questions asked was “what advice would you give to those who are looking to get a job similar to yours?” Ron then proceeds to explain what kind of college degrees and what steps to take to get in a similar position.
When asked where his career has taken him he explained that he has been all over the world but hasn’t yet got a chance to go to any Asian countries. Ron’s two favorite places he has been is Canada and France, mostly because of the beauty of the countries. During the interview, he was asked if he has ever gotten the chance to take his family anywhere he then said that he once took his family to San Francisco a few years back
