Codey Lucas is a local who has lived most of his life in McMechen, West Virginia. He graduated from John Marshall High School as part of the class of 2015. Codey went right into college after graduating high school but took a break shortly after due to his family leaving the area to be a full time military family. During his break from college, Codey focused on working entry level jobs to try to build a stable life for himself.

After a few years Codey decided it was time to go back to pursuing an education and enrolled at West Virginia Northern as a Science Secondary Education major to transfer to West Liberty University the following year. Codey decided education wasn’t the field for him and decided to return to his old major of Digital Media Design to pursue a career in the field of 3D animation.

One Codey’s favorite pastimes is making small scale 3D animations of some of his favorite characters. Another one of his favorite activities is playing video games with his family, specifically MMOs as they have very well designed social features. He also enjoys casually reading about Earth and Space sciences as he really grew an interest for it during his time as a Science Education Major. Codey does not yet know how his media voice will affect his future career.
