Lanie Lynch, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a 2019 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. She is currently studying in her senior year undergraduate broadcasting program at West Liberty University.

After graduation, Lanie plans to work at a local news station as a news reporter or multimedia journalist. Longterm, she hopes to secure a position as a news anchor in Pittsburgh someday.

Outside of school, Lanie is a dance coach and loves to choreograph. She is also very passionate about the environment and sustainability. She currently serves the title of Miss West Virginia Earth where she works with locally owned recycling businesses! Lanie also enjoys her job as she is a current enlisted member in the West Virginia Air National Guard.

During her time working with WGLZ, Lanie wants to focus on improving her editing skills. Although Lanie is not overly familiar with the podcasting world, she does enjoy true crime and lifestyle based podcasts.
