WEST LIBERTY, Oct. 11, 2021 — West Liberty University celebrates Homecoming 2021 this week with fun activities for students and alumni to enjoy.  Most of the activities are in-person, though face masks are required in all campus buildings due to COVID-19 safety rules.

Students begin with the traditional Serenades at 9 p.m., today, Oct. 11 in College Hall. An entertainment competition sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA), Serenades feature homecoming candidates performing skits before a panel of judges.

2021 King and Queen candidates and the organizations they represent include:

From 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, candidates will take on the role of Celebrity Servers in the Marketplace cafeteria.

From 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13, candidates will campaign on the quad during Tent Day, offering free goodies, including gifts and food, as they vie to be elected by the student body.

Students then vote for their choice of king and queen from 10 a.m., Oct. 13 through Oct. 14 in an online election.
