The College of Education and Human Performance at West Liberty University has become known for its use of technology in the service of teaching and learning. Highlights of our resources include:
- Intelliboards
Intelliboard classrooms are located in Main Hall 348, 338, 366, and 369 including instructor and student workstations and projection equipment. These areas are available for use as open labs when they are not reserved for use as classrooms. - SMARTBoards
SMARTBoard Classrooms are located in Main Hall 339, 352, and 368 and Blatnik G2 and G4 including instructor and student workstations and projection equipment. These areas are available for use as open labs when they are not reserved for use as classrooms. - i-Pads and Apple TV
The College of Education and Human Performance’s faculty have increasingly used these iOS devices to integrate the use of the mirroring and mobile capabilities into their classrooms. This has enabled an increase in student-centered collaboration and research-based projects. - Chromebooks
In response to local educational initiatives, the College of Education and Human Performance recently acquired a classroom set of Chromebooks so that our students have hands-on experiences with these devices which are increasing found in regional PreK-12 classrooms. - LiveText
The College of Education and Human Performance uses several assessment formats. All full-time students in the College have their own LiveText accounts for electronic assignments, assessments, and portfolio development. LiveText allows for seamless integration and data reporting to effectively measure learning goals and institutional objectives for accreditation and continuous improvement. - Sakai
The College of Education and Human Performance offers a variety of online courses for our undergraduate and graduate students. We also offer traditional courses that integrate an online component. The majority of the College’s course offerings are supported by online resources available through the University’s learning management system, Sakai. - Additional Resources
