Special Education

Special Education is NOT a stand alone degree. Students in the Special Education Program need to be enrolled as the additional specialization to Elementary Education or Secondary Education majors. Please click the following links to view the detailed Special Education Program curriculum.

    Note: The Multicategorical Special Education may not be added to a major in Music, Art, Health, or Physical Education.

• The Special Education Minor (non certifiable) is appropriate for students in career fields who will work with diverse student populations. These fields  could include psychology, social work, speech pathology, nursing, etc. Students in comprehensive area programs (art, music, and physical education) would also be able to add the minor.
