Technology Teaching Assistant Scholarship

 

 

The College of Education has taken the initiative in leveraging mobile technology for enhanced instruction via our new Technology Teaching Assistant (TTA) program. This program builds a technology-enriched community in our College, and it supports an ecosystem designed to empower undergraduate students and allow them opportunities to shine.

This semester, the College of Education is offering 10 scholarship opportunities to undergraduate students to serve as a Technology Teaching Assistant from September 15 to December 13, 2014. Don’t miss this valuable opportunity!

SCHOLARSHIP: $300 / student

DESCRIPTION: The successful candidates should demonstrate their proficiency in the technology application operation and trouble-shooting, providing faculty with one-on-one assistance on a fixed 3-hour schedule per week or “call-out” basis according to the faculty’s needs on campus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experiences working with different modalities of instructional technology including presentation, course management system (Sakai), interactive whiteboard (SMART Board and Intelliboard), tutorial audio/video, website, flipped classroom, mobile learning (iPad), Web 2.0 tools, e-portfolio (LiveText), and assessment (SMART Response System).
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED: (1) Responds to requests for technology assistance from faculty and (2) Finishes the work in a satisfactory way under obligation.
