ESPN-2 and ESPN-U were  in town and three WLU-TV students had the chance to work with them.  Brittni Lindgren, Samantha Gretchen, and Todd Ullom had the chance to work side by side with professionals in the field during the 5th annual Cancer Research Classic held at Wheeling Jesuit University.  Below are a few pictures of the day, contributed by WLSN producer, Chuck Scatterday.

The ESPN2 crew was pleased with the WLU student’s knowledge.  Below are a few quotes from the day:

Dave Andrews, camera operator, said, “The “girls” were great as utes. They knew what they were doing all night and had my back. Great feeling to have when your busy starting down a viewfinder for 3-hours.”

“Quick to help & pitched in early and often,” commented Dadja Roerig, video operator for ESPN.

“Your student understood what it took to get the job done,” said Jeff Habak, freelance camera operator

Mike Krivens, Operations Producer, “Todd was spot on both days! Good attitude, fast to help when directed. No complaints and did the job.”
“And they knew how to over/under cables… which is TV101 and they had it covered.  Good job!”
