During this \u201cDistinctive Discussion,\u201d Alex spoke with Ben Stark. Stark has had a diverse career in media with a few different production and supervisory roles in cable television and has also served as a sports commentator for the Michigan State Spartans and Lansing Crusaders.<\/span><\/p>\n

We kicked off the conversation by exploring Stark\u2019s early career. He worked as a cable television supervisor for the Lansing School District and as a cable television coordinator at Meridian Charter Township. He shared how these experiences shaped his leadership skills and prepared him for challenges in other roles. He also discussed some memorable moments as a production supervisor at MediaOne Cable Television.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the second half of the interview, we transitioned to Ben\u2019s career in sports commentating. He detailed how he got started in the field and the wide range of sports he\u2019s called. He also spoke about his first job in radio and how meeting Magic Johnson was a standout moment in his career. Finally, Stark offered a piece of advice for young aspiring sports commentators.<\/span><\/p>\n
