In this Students with Stories interview, Jamie Fowler interviews fellow West Liberty University student and friend since high school, Molly Bibb, about their time competing in Drum Corp International (DCI).<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Molly was a member of Jersey Surf, performing as a snare drummer. Molly worked hard to earn their place in the corp, with five hour practice days leading them to destroy the competition when it came to auditioning for the Jersey Surf snare line. In addition, Molly also held a job to afford the expensive DCI tuition.<\/span><\/p>\n

During their time in Jersey Surf, Molly traveled around the country to places they\u2019d never been before. While traveling and performing with other talented musicians, they had lots of crazy experiences, such as sleeping in high school gyms, seeing odd strangers, Fourth of July parades, and navigating a COVID outbreak while living on the road.
