Anna Dean was born and raised in Wheeling, WV. She attended Wheeling Park High School, graduating with the class of 2017. In 2020, she transferred from West Virginia University to West Liberty University.<\/p>\n

Some hobbies that Anna enjoys are reading, writing, and playing video games. Reading series such as Percy Jackson and the Olympians as a kid inspired her to get into creative writing. This interest also encouraged her to take part in contests, such as the Ohio County Public Library’s Awesome Author contest from 2008-2010. Anna likes to play games such as Destiny 2 and Minecraft, as well. When she isn’t working on schoolwork, she can probably be found playing games with her friend group.<\/p>\n

Anna is currently pursuing a Media Communications major with a minor in Entrepreneurship. After graduation, she hopes to work in the podcasting industry and eventually develop her own shows. A podcast that has greatly inspired Anna for her future endeavors would be Welcome to Nightvale, which is often playing as she commutes to campus\"\"<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She hopes that through working with WGLZ, she will be able to learn and become proficient in skills such as on-air hosting and interviewing.
