However, her journey to this small town in West Virginia is not the typical one would find.\u00a0 Ross, a student in the podcasting courses, had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Kang. while his partner Stephen finished with the editing.\u00a0 In this series of WLU Faculty Spotlights hosted\u00a0 by WGLZ 91.5, you will hear the different journeys Dr. Kang went through&#8211; stemming all the way from Seoul, South Korea to West Liberty University.<\/p>\n<p>You will learn that Dr. Kang is also a very decorated professor, and had a successful<a href=\"https:\/\/westliberty.edu\/wglz\/files\/2022\/05\/IMG_2602-2-scaled.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-6414 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/westliberty.edu\/wglz\/files\/2022\/05\/IMG_2602-2-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"Dr. Moonjung Kang\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/westliberty.edu\/wglz\/files\/2022\/05\/IMG_2602-2-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/westliberty.edu\/wglz\/files\/2022\/05\/IMG_2602-2-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/westliberty.edu\/wglz\/files\/2022\/05\/IMG_2602-2-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https:\/\/westliberty.edu\/wglz\/files\/2022\/05\/IMG_2602-2-1536x2048.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/westliberty.edu\/wglz\/files\/2022\/05\/IMG_2602-2-scaled.jpeg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a> career outside teaching upper education. She holds her MFA in graphic design Concentration from Hongik University, located in Seoul, South Korea, while obtaining her BFA in Graphic design Concentration from Hansung University, also in Seul, South Korea. While teaching at numerous colleges and universities in South Korea, she also had numerous jobs in the graphic design field, outside of upper education.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kang has also won and earned many awards throughout her career, as most recently, she was awarded &#8220;best of the Show&#8221; in the 2017 KOCON International Design Exhibition.\u00a0 Along with her awards, she is also a board member of KOCON, The Korean Contents Association.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to listen to this interview with Dr. Kang, and get to know more about one of the best and most decorated Professor!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u200b<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Moonjung Kang has been a professor at West Liberty University since 2009.
