Colin Veltri is originally from Weirton, West Virginia, and later moved to Morgantown, where he attended Morgantown High School from 2021 to 2025.
Growing up about 30 minutes from the Pittsburgh area helped shape his passion for Pittsburgh sports, making him a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins. He enjoys watching sports, especially football and hockey, and hopes to turn that passion into a career in broadcasting. Outside of sports, Colin enjoys watching stand-up comedy. Some of his favorite comedians include Jim Gaffigan, Gabriel Iglesias, Josh Blue, and Bert Kreischer. Music is another major part of his life, particularly hard rock and heavy metal from the 1990s to 2000s. Some of his favorite bands include Papa Roach, Shinedown, Sevendust, and Disturbed, among many others. His appreciation for this music began at an early age when his dad would play it during car rides, and his love for the genre has continued ever since. After graduating from West Liberty University, Colin hopes to pursue a career in sports media as a play-by-play announcer and/or radio disc jockey. He is continuing to develop his broadcasting skills through his on-air work at WGLZ and his announcing work for basketball, football, and baseball on Topper Station at West Liberty University. Through these experiences, Colin hopes to build a career centered around his voice, sports, and broadcasting.
