A Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in the Gary E. West School of Business with a specialization in Finance prepares students for careers in the Financial Services industry. Career choices in finance including banking, investments and financial planning services. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in business and finance operations’ occupation is expected to grow at a 10% rate and account for nearly 775,00 new jobs before 2026. Our program is tailored to meet this increase in job growth and focuses on the demands and skills local employers require. In addition to our curriculum, our students have the opportunity to participate in an Investment Club that manages its own fund.
The specialization includes courses in Investment and Portfolio Analysis, Wealth Management, Taxation, Insurance, Retirement, and Estate Planning. The curriculum presents a combination of theory and applications designed to provide the student with the needed expertise be successful in today’s financial environment and pursue a career in Financial Planning.
