The Topper Tour was created to connect with the College of Business graduates. See where they are now, and what they are doing. A big part of the College of Business is to make sure the students are successful in the major they have chosen.
Main Street Bank
Main Street Bank is headquartered in Wheeling, WV with West Liberty University Alumnus Rich Lucas serving as president and CEO. Mr. Lucas graduated from West Liberty State College with a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Accounting and currently serves on the Board of Governors at West Liberty. It is exciting to see the accomplishments of Mr. Lucas and the many graduates employed at Main Street Bank.
Uniglobe Ohio Valley Travel
Uniglobe is located on Market St. in Downtown Wheeling, WV. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bryson are the owners of Uniglobe. Mr. Bryson is an alumnus of West Liberty, and it is exciting to see so much Topper pride and alumni.
Wesbanco
Wesbanco was the first stop on the Topper Tour, when it was launched on November 6, 2015. Wesbanco is located in downtown Wheeling, WV. Interim Dean Bailey, Program Director Michael Blackwell, and Professor David Wright attended the first Topper Tour.
Interim Dean Jean Bailey initially proposed a plan to take Topper the bear on tour to the local businesses to highlight graduates working in the area. Her idea was to have photos taken with the graduates, and highlight their successes on social media. Her plan took off and has been well received among local businesses. Upon Interim Dean Bailey’s retirement, Instructor of Marketing Ingrid Loy has taken over organizing the Topper Tour.
