Fujio Cho is President and Chief Executive Officer of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, U.S.A., Inc. in Gerogetown, Kentucky. In this capacity, he is the company’s senior executive at the Georgetown facility. In September, 1988 Mr. Cho was selected to serve as a member of the Toyota Motor Corporation Board of Directors.
Mr. Cho joined Toyota in 1960. In 1974, he was promoted to Manager of the Production Control Department, where he was instrumental in developing the company’s production system. Mr. Cho was named General Manager of the Transportation Control Office in 1984, and in 1986 he was named General Manager of the North American Project Office.
A native of Tokyo, Japan, Mr. Cho is a 1960 graduate of the University of Tokyo where he earned a bachelor’s degree in law.
Mr. Cho is married and has two sons.
