The Gary E. West College of Business (WCOB) at West Liberty University is excited to announce our new MBA concentration in Accounting. Just like our MBA with a concentration in management, the program is offered 100% online.
The MBA in Accounting is a 30 credit hour program with six core classes of three credit hours each and four classes of three credit hours each in the concentration. The four classes in the accounting concentration are in forensic accounting and fraud examination. West Liberty University has been recognized by the Association for Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) as a fraud education partner.
Classes in the MBA in Accounting can be taken for those only wanting the accounting classes to help prepare for the Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) Exam to obtain CFE certification, to satisfy the requirement of 150 credit hours to become a CPA, or to be counted as continuing education for those already having a CPA.
Classes are in a seven-week format with six terms over the year. The accounting classes for the MBA in accounting will be offered one at a time each year in May, July, August, and October to allow students time to focus on their study. This format will allow students to finish the MBA in accounting in less than two years.
